Monte Rio is a fantastic base camp for attractions throughout Sonoma County. Wine tasting, redwood and coastal hiking, mountain and road biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, shopping, dining, visiting museums and more are all within a short drive. Yet you can go right out the door for an amazing walk around the neighborhood, or to the river within 10 minutes. Driving to the river is about 3 min. The local movie theater is a mile away, and is the only one in the area.
